HealthSteps was among eight finalists that pitched their ideas on Thursday in front of a live audience and panel of judges at Google\u2019s office in Cambridge, Mass., with the Gainesville, Fla.-based company selected as the winner and receiving $25,000 in Google Cloud credits.

The aim of the challenge was to evaluate solutions that use patient-generated data in meaningful ways to improve clinical outcomes, streamline physician workflows and reduce costs.

Available on both iPhone and Android mobile devices, HealthSteps<\/a> contains a digital care plan with built-in medication reminders, a symptom tracker, and the capability to share and sync care plans between family members and caregivers. In addition, clinicians using the HIPAA-compliant HealthSteps web portal can visualize real-time data showing patient compliance and symptoms.
